After-School Programs for Children at Risk

Since 2001, ZIM has contributed substantially -- both financially and through the volunteer activities of its employees -- to the innovative After-School Programs for Children at Risk, a highly successful initiative created by The Israel Corporation in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. 

This program provides a surrogate home environment, hot meals and homework assistance on a daily basis for children aged 6-17. During 2005, ZIM’s contribution of money, equipment and volunteer staffing enabled this important program to expand from 3 to 10 clubs in Israel’s Haifa region.

Zim encourages its employees worldwide to deepen their involvement with, and contribute to, their respective communities by volunteering their time and energy to local social and environmental organizations.
